How much to Study A-levels in Sunway University, Taylor’s College, HELP University and TAR University College (TARUC)?

A-Levels

are often offered in many universities and colleges across Malaysia. Each institution has their own tuition fees and additional fees. A-Levels are often taken by students who completed their IGCSEs, 16 years old and above, and usually studied over the course of 2 years.

Students who are taking A-Levels are advised to take a minimum of 3 subjects and maximum 4 subjects. Subjects are Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Law, Psychology and etc. Each university has their own subjects offered and commencement of semesters are based on each university.

Minimum 3 subjects and maximum 4 subjects

In this article, we will be looking into the A-Levels fee of Sunway University, Taylor’s College, HELP University and TAR University College (TARUC) for 3 subjects and 4 subjects.

A-levels

Sunway University

Malaysian students:-

3 subjects: RM 35,600 (Enrolment, Deposit, Student Resource Fee, Internal assessment fee, tuition fee)

4 subjects: RM 45,800 (Enrolment, Deposit, Student Resource Fee, Internal assessment fee, tuition fee)

Additional Fees:-

  • 4th A-Level Subject: RM 3,000 (per subject, per semester)
  • 4th Internal Assessment fee: RM 400 (per subject, per semester)
  • English Language: RM 800 (first semester)
  • Thinking Skill (AS Level): RM 1,200 (per semester)
  • Science subject(s): 
    • Lab Fee (1 lab subject + 2 non-lab subject: RM 1,050)
    • Lab Fee (2 lab subject + 1 non-lab subject: RM 2,100)
    • Lab Fee (3 lab subject: RM 3,150) 

Taylor’s College

Malaysian students:-

3 subjects: RM 32,951 (Enrolment + Tuition Fee), RM 5,990 (additional fee, -based on subjects)

4 subjects: RM 43,718 (Enrolment + Tuition Fee), RM 5,990 (additional fee, -based on subjects)

Additional Fees:

  • Tuition Fee [per science subject (Biology/Chemistry/Physics)]: RM 350, each semester
  • Lab Coat & Safety Goggles: RM 60 (to pay in the 1st semester)
  • AS Final Examination Fee (3-4 subjects: RM 1,800 – RM 3,060) *approximate (to pay in the 2nd semester)
  • A2 Final Examination Fee (3-4 subjects: RM 1,800 – RM 2,520) *approximate (to pay in the 3rd semester)

International students:-

3 subjects: USD 11,618 [International Student Enrolment Fee, Tuition Fee, Hospitalization & Surgical Insurance, International Student Charge, International Student Annual Fee, EMGS Visa Application Fee, E-Val and International Security Deposit (ISD)]

4 subjects: USD 14,309 [International Student Enrolment Fee, Tuition Fee, Hospitalization & Surgical Insurance, International Student Charge, International Student Annual Fee, EMGS Visa Application Fee, E-Val and International Security Deposit (ISD)]

Additional Fees:

  • Tuition Fee [per science subject (Biology/Chemistry/Physics)]: USD 88 (to pay in each semester)
  • Lab Coat & Safety Goggles: USD 15 (to pay in the 1st semester)
  • AS Final Examination Fee: USD 765 (to pay in 2nd semester) *approximate
  • A2 Final Examination Fee: USD 630 (pay in 3rd semester) *approximate

HELP University

Malaysian students:-

3 subjects: RM 28,000

4 subjects: RM 35,000

HELP University A-Levels are offered to only Malaysian students. Moreover, HELP offers both Cambridge Assessment International Education and Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Levels. Both their 3 and 4 subjects are the total course fee of 1 year 6 months.

TAR University College (TARUC)

According to students who were students in TARUC, the total fees to study in TARUC is from RM 26,000 to RM 30,000. The price written is an estimated price for Arts or Science stream.
However, due to the lack of resources and information on their website it is difficult to determine the exact price of studying A-Levels.
